| I Wanted To Fish the Creek....
And that's what I did. Of course, it was just over a thousand ( yup, 1000) miles from my house but when I tied on the popper that I had just completed, that morning, and caught my first ever smallie...well, the trek seemed worth it.Of course I would pick the week that temps were 30 degrees BELOW normal, but fish were caught and laughs were had.I saw beautiful country side and met very nice people. And for every nice fish I caught Jiggy caught a bigger one! , after all he couldn't let this east coaster show him up in his own "backyard" I just wanted to publicly thank Jiggy , and Mishka, for making me feel at home with them. I'm proud to call Andrew a good friend. Some pics...

I used to have a washboard, but 25+ years of beer have taken care of that Hit an upper section of that creek on Sunday by a friend's house. Classic, he was sitting on the porch playing a banjo when I pulled up. Coarse I'm thinking, damn why couldn't this have been earlier in the week when Ratty was down I think the highlight of the week was Ratty saying "this is actually pretty cool" I think that was soon after nailing that hog smallie Now you know the way, stop on down again ![]() Jigman

Smallies are GREAT, like freshwater bluefish, fight till the end Most of the ponds around me are full of largemouths not small.

Next time we work harder to find some Hybrids for you. You'll soon forget about smallies if you hook into a good Hybrid Jigman

Smallies are a blast, was talking to a guy today about spots around me for them....although , thinking of that mount on yer wall has got me wondering about what I missed out on. But I just think of the fish I caught and places I went and that keeps a smile on my face!

I use to be a trout purist and would always catch smallies while fishing for trout. They seem to hang around each other in NJ waters. I converted a guy to fly fishing one night cause he saw me taking smallmouth on dry flies in French creek out in PA.

| Have to agree with Ratty. I fly fished for a while, but had to give it up. I was not gay enough for the rest of the sissy stick crowd Jigman

Took my son out in the canoe on sunday, he was nailing some large Calico bass (Crappie). This weekend a famous plug builder is coming to New England and I hope to put him on fish...and we're not talking SLABS here!

Glad to hear that you girls made up. I know how upset you were that the no coaster forgot your name. I guess the prospect of tossing dannys to bluefish will do that Jigman
